‘Big Bang Theory’, the number one comedy on television for the 18-49 demo, has just been renewed for three more seasons, extending the show’s run through season 10 into the 2016-17 season.

"Comedy is a big part of our schedule, and The Big Bang Theory is the biggest comedy force on television,” CBS Entertainment chairman Nina Tassler said.

“This multiyear deal further strengthens our network’s position for future seasons and marks another chapter in the great partnership CBS enjoys with Warner Bros. Television for delivering audiences the best in comedy. We’re proud to work with and showcase the incredible talents of [executive producers] Chuck Lorre, Steve Molaro and this amazing cast every week,” she continued.

The ‘Big Bang Theory’ stars are currently in negotiations with CBS, seeking a large salary increase. Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, and Kaley Cuoco, who are currently earning $325,000 per episode are said to be asking $1 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Mayim Bialik and Melissa Raunch recently secured a salary increase, and supporting actors Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar are also looking for a pay bump.

‘Big Big Theory’ currently averages 19.8 million viewers a week.
