Miranda July’s creative art/social project ‘We Think Alone’ is in its’ 18th week, leaving only 2 more ahead.

This week asks its celebrity participants to send over an email that includes an apology. Israeli author, Etgar Keret, shares an email from November explaining that he won’t be able to visit with a friend and had to cancel the remainder of his tour, thanks to missiles in Tel Aviv, which he blames “Bibi” (Benyamin Netanyahu) for.

Hey M.,
Tried to call you.
apperently there are missiles shot at Tel aviv. I'm afraid that if this will continue they'll stop flights so I've canceled the rest of my tour and hopefully wiggeled my way to the last one flying tonight.
I won't see you this time. sorry. It isn't my fault it is Bibi's.
Sorry. Love you,
etgar
P.S.
do you still want to go? I can ask Nathan to keep the tickets.
Just email or call me when you can. Flight is only leaving at 8pm.

‘Girls’ creator, Lena Dunham, shares an email apologizing for essentially ignoring someone at a party.

L

I wanted to apologize for the other night-- I am so sorry I didn't see you at the party. It was a completely uncool move. It was an overwhelming night (didn't realize quite how overwhelming it would be) and my social anxiety really made itself apparent and when my friend got sick I used it as an excuse to seek solace in my home. I was so grateful you came, am so happy to be getting to know you and really hope we can get past this road bump and you will let me take you out for oyster sandwiches soon. I am learning (at a rapid speed) about my own limits and I realize it's best for me to get in and out of most work obligations fast as I can and see people I care about in a calmer setting. I hope you'll forgive my misstep.

Love
Lena
