Late night’s funny lady, Chelsea Handler, has officially confirmed her split from hotelier boyfriend, Andre Balazs, after a couple weeks of media speculation.

On Tuesday night’s episode of ‘Chelsea Lately,’ Handler was interviewing her friend, actress and star of new NBC sit-com ‘Welcome to the Family’, Mary McCormack.

"Let's talk about your single situation," McCormack joked, in an attempt to discover why her beautiful, successful, and obviously hilarious friend hasn’t been able to find the right partner.

"I'm looking for a pattern. I was thinking about who you dated," McCormack continued.

The actress began rattling off a list of Handler’s previous boyfriends including TV executive, Ted Harbert, Dave Salmoni aka “a buff Canadian animal trainer” and 50 Cent.

"And then just when you think you know where you stand, you throw in – I call him Curtis – it's Fitty,” McCormack jokes.

“That was fun though,” Handler responds, referring to her brief, but highly publicized relationship with 50 Cent back in 2010.

"But now we're into patchwork craziness. It's boyfriend bingo. It doesn't make any sense," McCormack offers.

"Maybe I'll start dating a bitch…that totally would be something I would do, is date a woman," Handler states.

Handler and Balazs dated on and off for 2 years, blaming distance on their unstable relationship. During Handler’s appearance in March on ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’, she shared that she had “met her match” in Balazs.

"We were talking about living our lives together, my boyfriend and I," she said. "We've broken up a couple of times and gotten back together, and we're trying to figure out how to live a life together."

"It's just so hard and it's just so taxing. But when you really want to be with someone, you can make that work, but you don't want it to be uneven. If I'm going to London for you for a week for business, and having to go out to dinner and drinks and be funny and engaging, then you better hit me back," she told Winfrey.

Details about their most recent breakup have not been revealed, but based on the above comments, we can only assume distance was the culprit.
