James Franco’s long list of occupations and passion projects is getting a tad obscene at this point… but his upcoming collection of poetry seems particularly interesting and worth mention.

Graywolf Press has acquired Franco’s debut poetry collection entitled ‘Directing Herbert White.’

"They are also smart and highly aware notes of caution of what can happen when the filmed self becomes fixed and duplicated, while the ongoing self must continue living and watching," said Graywolf editor, Jeffrey Shotts.

Scheduled for an April 2014, Shotts describes Franco’s poems as a series of portraits of American successes and failures from within Hollywood.

In 2010, Franco released a collection of short stories entitled ‘Palto Alto’ which received mixed reviews.

Lest we forget that Franco is an actor as well, his newest film 'Oz: The Great and Powerful' comes out March 8, 2013.
