Kim Kardashian was slammed recently for her uneducated Twitter comments regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Although the reality star made a public apology, she has decided to take it one step further by visiting the Middle East and meeting with local leaders… in Kuwait and Bahrain.

Kim was already booked to appear at the opening of a few Millions of Milkshakes shops in the two countries, but she is now telling friends that she wants to use the trip to “educate herself about the political situation in the region”, according to TMZ.

Kim has arranged to meet with local leaders in both countries- Kuwait and Bahrain, not Israel- under constant protection of a private security guard.

According to a TMZ source, "Kim wants to be as informed as possible ... so she can use her celebrity to help those in need and raise awareness about important issues in the area."

Many people are wondering why Kim has decided to meet with public leaders, asking how it will benefit the Middle East or America.

“Why...WHY WOULD SHE TALK TO LOCAL LEADERS?!.What, if anything intelligent does she have to bring to the table?.I hope they murk her. Use her Celebrity?.Come on now.You are known for a porn with a C list Celeb and ****ty clothing boutiques,” a commenter writes on TMZ.

“If they didn't hate Americans before they will after she's done with them,” another person wrote.

“OMG. Is she also geographically incapable of allocating the "Middle East" to "educate" herself? I LIVED in Kuwait for 20 years and it is in a region called "Persian Gulf" The "Middle East" which is btw grammatically unsound since technically there is no Middle East from a global point of view, relates to nations that include Jordan, Lebanon, (Where I am from), Syria, Israel, Palestine. If she wants to learn, firstly, pick up a book and know your countries, second, go to Israel, visit refugee camps, read books published by distinguished award recipients that have lived through wars. I was so busy dodging bullets and bloodshed in Lebanon, yet I still managed to LEARN. It aggravates me that once "celebrities" become famous based on the occasional sex tape, they suddenly assume they can make a difference by pretending to care about vital issues, when really if you throw Kim K in a situation where she can't wear a Gucci dress and be in full blown make-up, she will probably die of shallow frustration. The world is a very sad place,” posted another TMZ reader.
