Adam Sandler to Star in ‘The Magnificent Seven’ Parody
Ridiculous 6 is a parody of the John Sturges classic
Adam Sandler is arguably the most successful SNL alum in recent years. Although many of his films are critically slammed, his fans support him by going to the theatre and buying DVD’s and Blu Ray. Both Grown Ups and Just Go With It were either nominated for razzies or should have been, yet both movies did incredibly well in the box office totaling over $250 million.
Sandler, on the other hand, just released Hotel Transylvania, which not only is doing well financially, but is also a charming and intelligent animated picture. Good for him. Bad news is he just announced an upcoming film being made through Paramount Pictures that sounds like it might fall into the Jack and Jill camp.
The film, entitled Ridiculous 6, is a live-action Western comedy, presumably a parody of John Sturges’ class The Magnificent Seven.
