Lizzy Caplan and Alison Brie Try to Figure Out Love in New Indie Film
The actresses play sisters in 'Save the Date'
Caplan, 30, plays Sarah, a woman afraid of marriage and commitment, and starts to learn a little more about herself after rebounding from refusing her boyfriend’s marriage proposal. The trailer illuminates a more grown-up Caplan, as opposed to the girl we know from “Cloverfield” and “Mean Girls.” This dramedy is showing another side to her that perhaps we haven’t seen before.
Brie, 29, plays Beth, the “relationship girl” in the film, bringing us along for her journey through engagement. Brie’s resume consists of “Mad Men,” “Community,” and “The Five-Year Engagement.” We look forward to seeing some indie light shed on her!
“Save the Date” made its first appearance at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, and will be released in theaters December 14.
