PUMA understands that everyone has a personal story to share regarding breast cancer. Some run marathons in memory of a friend that’s passed. Others donate to monthly charities to celebrate their mother’s remission, and for some it’s a personal fight. As part of PUMA’s new ‘Project Pink’ initiative launched on Wednesday, PUMA encourages you to share your story by asking “Who do you wear pink for?”

Many celebrities and athletes have supported and advocated for ‘Project Pink’, including 2012’s ‘Project Pink’ ambassador, Ashley Tisdale.

“I’m thrilled to be working with PUMA on Project Pink this season… Breast cancer is a cause that’s so close to my heart, and I love the program’s message of empowerment for young women,” Tisdale said.

“I wear pink for my grandmother, who recently battled breast cancer… I’m happy to say that she’s now in remission, but there are too many women out there who are still fighting,” she continues.

You can follow Tisdale on Twitter @ashleytisdale for details on upcoming campaign appearance. Additionally, PUMA has pledged to donate an additional dollar for every tweet using the hashtag #projectpink.

‘Project Pink’ is entering it’s third year, with all proceeds going to various breast cancer charities. Supporters nominate a deserving charity connected to the cause, ranging from support groups to research organizations at www.puma.com/projectpink.

Voting opens on Septembers 24th. The organization that gets the most votes will receive all funds raised during the campaign this year. PUMA will donate 100% of profits from ‘Project Pink’ clothing and accessories, and the winner will be announced at the ‘Project Pink’ Charity Soccer Game in Los Angeles this October.
