Edon Pinchot Gets a Standing Ovation on America's Got Talent
"Jew are terrific."
Those words, spoken by America's Got Talent judge Howie Mandel, a fellow member of the tribe, were the perfect introduction to Edon Pinchot, the 14 year-old Orthodox Jewish singer with a talent that can best be described as "terrific."
On Monday Pinchot got his first taste of the live show on America's Got Talent when he performed "Titanium" in front of an appreciative audience who gave the younger performer his first, of what is sure to be many, standing ovations.
"Did you get a standing ovation at your Bar Mitzvah?" asked Mandel after Edon's performance.
"Amazing song choice. You hit every single note. You sang with great emotion," added judge Sharon Osbourne.
Radio host Howard Stern, who joined AGT this year, was skeptical before Edon's performance, remarking that the he thought he couldn't hit the high notes, but quickly changed his tune following the performance.
"You nailed every single note. You did a great job. You just are humble, you're nice and I love that about you. America is going to fall in love with you," remarked Stern.
The voting is now in the viewers hands as their texting and online voting is what will make or break these young careers. Let's hope the television audience are as responsive as the studio audience.
Below is the video of Edon's performance from Monday night:
