Saturday Night Live fans have been speculating for weeks whether the king of digital shorts, Andy Samberg, is leaving the popular sketch comedy show. Now it’s official.

Samberg was recently interviewed by The New York Times and he confirmed that he’ll no longer be a part of SNL. He was featured on the NBC show for almost a decade and pioneered the SNL Digital Short.

“It’s an incredibly emotional and strange moment in my life,” he told The New York Times. “Obviously it’s not a huge shock, but I did officially decide not to come back.”

In honour of Samberg, here are some of his funniest moments on SNL.
