Daniel Radcliffe to Play a Young Jon Hamm
Daniel Radcliffe plans to return to his routes in television with a new BBC 4-part drama.
Before “Harry Potter”, Radcliffe made his acting debut in a BBC remake of “David Copperfield”. Since Radcliffe’s international success, he hasn’t had time to return to the small screen, until now.
In the new Sky Arts project, Radcliffe will play a young Jon Hamm in a story following Russian doctors in World War 1. “Mad Men’s” Jon Hamm will both narrate the series, and star as one of the lead doctors. It is believed that Hamm as narrator will speak with Radcliffe as his younger self.
According to a source for The Sun, Radcliffe is a fan of Mad Men and is looking forward to working with Hamm.
“He’s a big Mad Men fan and feels he can learn a lot from Don. But Jon knows all about Daniel’s qualities, so he’ll also be doing some learning,” says the source.
Radcliffe has certainly branched off from “Harry Potter” with the recent success of horror flick, “The Woman in Black” and the upcoming “Kill Your Darlings” which sees Radcliffe playing beat poet, Allen Ginsberg.
