Max Greenfield (a.k.a. Schmidt from the Fox hit New Girl) went on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night and the two spent nearly an entire segment talking about Bar Mitzvahs.

“I heard you had a Saturday Night Live-themed Bar Mitzvah,” host Jimmy Kimmel told the actor.

They spent the rest of the segment just talking about Bar Mitzvah themes. Kimmel said that most Bar Mitzvahs he’s attended had sports themes. Greenfield added that a writer on his show had a jazz-themed party.

“That’s a terrible theme,” Kimmel said after laughing. “Unless you’re an old black guy getting Bar Mitzvah’d, that’s a weird theme to have for a young hairless Jewish boy. ”
