L.A Sheriff’s Dept. Deputy, James Mee, has finally struck a settlement deal in his discrimination lawsuit with L.A County, according to TMZ.

James Mee famously arrested Mel Gibson during the actor’s drunken Anti-Semitic tirade in 2006. The officer sued L.A County, claiming that he was unfairly punished and overlooked for promotions because the County targeted Mee as the person that leaked Mel Gibson’s DUI arrest documents to TMZ.

This initial claim was thrown out in court, so Mee decided to submit a second claim: he was discriminated against because he was Jewish.

Apparently this claim stuck and led to the County reaching a settlement with the officer. The exact terms of the settlement have not yet been disclosed.
