Mila Kunis and Jesse Eisenberg are among the 28 actors who were invited to join The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. A total of 178 artists and movie executives (including producers, directors, documentary filmmakers and animators) were invited to join the prestigious organization.

“These individuals are among the best filmmakers working in the industry today,” Academy president Tom Sherak said in a statement. “Their talent and creativity have entertained moviegoers around the world, and I welcome each of them to our ranks.”

Jesse Eisenberg received his first Oscar nomination last year for his role in the critically- acclaimed The Social Network. The 27-year-old actor stars in the upcoming summer comedy 30 Minutes or Less, which features Danny McBride, Nick Swardson and Aziz Ansari. Eisenberg is also set to co-star in Woody Allen’s latest flick, Bop Decameron, alongside Ellen Page.

Despite wowing many critics and movie goers with her performance in Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan, Kunis did not receive an Academy-Award nomination. However, the 27-year-old star nabbed a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the award-winning film.

A number of other artists were invited to join The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, including David Duchovny (The X-Files, Californication) and Amir Bar-Lev (Fighter, The Tillman Story).
