Suspended for the final 65 games of the 2013 regular season, Ryan Braun is back on the 40-man roster for the Milwaukee Brewers. After admitting to the use of performance enhancing drugs in relation to the Biogenesis Clinic scandal in Florida, the outfielder has been quietly reinstated by the Milwaukee Brewers since October 31st.

Following his suspension in late July, Braun has made a formidable attempt to get back into good graces by reaching out to fellow teammates, the leagues, and fans. He even went as far as calling season ticket holders to offer apologies for his behavior.

"As I have acknowledged in the past, I am not perfect. I realize now that I have made some mistakes. I am willing to accept the consequences of those actions. This situation has taken a toll on me and my entire family, and it has been a distraction to my teammates and the Brewers organization. I am very grateful for the support I have received from players, ownership and the fans in Milwaukee and around the country," Braun says in a statement with CBSSports.com at the beginning of his suspension.

"Finally, I wish to apologize to anyone I may have disappointed -- all of the baseball fans especially those in Milwaukee, the great Brewers organization, and my teammates. I am glad to have this matter behind me once and for all, and I cannot wait to get back to the game I love."

At the end of the season, Doug Melvin, the general manager for the Milwaukee Brewers, commented on the necessity of Braun’s return.

"Teammates are going to be different, there's different personnel, but I think he'll be accepted when he comes back from that standpoint because I think everybody knows we need Ryan to come back and perform."

"He was punished for what he did. I don't know the details and there's no need in getting into them, but he served his penalty."

Suspended on July 22nd, earlier this year, Braun has been absent for the last two months of the season and will be present for the 2014 season.
