Ben & Jerry's is best known for its unique approach to ice cream flavours, often deviating from the norm and experimenting with new flavours.

Flavours such as 'half-baked', promoted in conjunction with the legalization of marijuana and Colorado, and 'salted caramel' have made the ice cream maker an international hit. The company has even experimented with frozen yoghurt, and has somehow maintained their dedication to keeping their product Kosher.

However, Ben & Jerry's has just released a new flavour that they hope can tackle a much larger cause: climate change.

The new flavour, called 'Save our Swirled', comes in the wake of environmental improvements at the company. CEO Jostein Solheim explains that the company has "just completed a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) of 20 flavours...that is allowing us to target our best possible options for cutting our environmental impact."

To support the release of the new flavour, the ice cream maker is partnering with electric car manufacturer Tesla and activist group Avaaz to raise awareness around global warming and the serious effects climate change will have on our world.

The new flavour is a blend of "raspberry ice cream, marshmallow and raspberry swirls, plus dark and white fudge ice cream cones," designed to look like the dessert is melting.
