HAG SAMEACH!!!

Last year, we spoke to Asaf Harari on his innovative design studio that brings Israeli and Jewish folklore to the modern era via collectibles, action figures, prints and more.

Established in 2009, Piece of History is proud to be Israel’s first such studio that is focused on creating conceptual, history-oriented, art-toys, prints, t-shirts and more. Based out of Tel Aviv, backed with a crew of passionate designers motivated by their love of history and art, the company's goal is to create modern (and cool) gifts, collectibles and souvenirs which will be an alternative to the archaic Judaica products.

Or, in the words of Harari, "We think It's time to take Israeli and Jewish folklore to a modern era!"

Thus far, they've been pleased with the reception they've received from the community, particularly visitors to Israel. "It's like people have been waiting for something like this to happen," he says. "We keep hearing people asking how come no one has ever thought about this before? Now, people here finally have something to bring to their family when they are visiting them abroad."

Whereas last year the company was focused on Israeli action figures the likes of Theodor Herzl, Golda Meir or David Ben-Gurion, or neat Orthodox wooden blocks, they've significantly expanded the repertoire they offer, with a great selection of prints, collectibles and t-shirts that would be perfect for a Hanukkah gift, whether for children who have yet to learn of these important historical figures in Jewish and Israeli history, or for adults who would get a kick from having a Moshe Dayan or Menachem Begin action figure on their desk.

I know I would.

I also wouldn't mind having prints displaying their faces, either.

Piece of History also offers a special gifts collection, which combines items from each aforementioned section with a similar theme, and at a more convenient price.
