Jerusalem is Without Country on Apple's iOS 7

On Apple's new iOS 7, Israel's capital is listed without a country

It might finally be time to give into Microsoft and ditch our iPads in favour of a Surface.

On Apple's new operating system, iOS 7, which was released alongside the new iPhone 5s and 5c (9 million of which have been sold this past weekend alone) Jerusalem, Israel's capital, is listed without a country under the world clock.

Some could wonder if it's a technical error, but really, as every other city on the system (save for Vatican City and Taipei) is listed alongside its nation, it seems like a deliberate move on Apple's behalf not to offend Palestinians, or supporters of Palestinians, as they have deemed East Jerusalem as their future capital.

Either that, or Timothy Cook doesn't know his geography and legitimately thinks Jerusalem is a stateless city.

The iOS 7 also lists West Bank and cities in the Gaza Strip as part of Palestinian Territories.

Unfortunately for Israelis, this is not the first time, nor, realistically, will it be the last, that Jerusalem has been listed without labelling Israel as its country.

For the 2012 Olympics in London, Jerusalem was showed as being the capital of Palestine, whereas Israel was listed without having a capital at all.
